Work and Study For international students, Canada bears un-limited opportunities in terms of jobs as well as education.
While you must supply sufficient evidence that you can pay for your tuition and living expenses before you arrive in Canada, there are a number of work permit programs for international students and their spouses/common law partners that make working in Canada possible.
You can work in Canada while studying which will also serve as an advantage after you graduate with availability of On-Campus and Off-Campus jobs.
On-Campus Work
“On-campus work” is defined as work at a location within the boundaries of a post-secondary school campus. Students are only allowed to work on the campus of the school at which they are registered for full-time studies. If a school has more than one campus, the student can work at locations on those campuses as long as the campuses are within the same city. If an institution has campuses in different cities, the student can only work on the campus where he/she is registered as a full-time student.
Off-Campus Work
Some foreign students may work off campus without a work permit in Canada for up to 20 hours a week during a regular academic semester. These students may also work full-time during scheduled breaks such as summer/winter holidays and reading week.
